1. The Service

Gatera provides tools for managing and sharing authentication data such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) codes, authentication workflows, and related security utilities. The Service is provided as a cloud-based platform accessible via the website gatera.io. We may update or improve the Service from time to time.

2. Accounts

To use the Service you must create an account. You agree that:

• the information you provide is accurate
• you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• you are responsible for all activity under your account

You must immediately notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Organization Accounts

Users may create or administer organizational workspaces. If you create an organization on behalf of a company or legal entity, you represent that:

• you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms
• the entity agrees to these Terms

The organization administrator is responsible for managing user access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate any applicable law
• attempt unauthorized access to systems or networks
• distribute malware or malicious code
• interfere with or disrupt the Service
• abuse the platform in ways that could harm other users

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. Security Responsibilities

While Gatera provides tools designed to improve authentication security, users remain responsible for protecting their devices, protecting access to their email accounts, and maintaining appropriate internal security practices. The Service cannot guarantee prevention of unauthorized access.

6. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, infrastructure failures, or security incidents.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, design, and branding, remain the property of Gatera OÜ. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the Service without permission.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts if these Terms are violated, the Service is abused, or required by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gatera OÜ shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or security incidents beyond our reasonable control.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, we will notify users through the Service or website. Continued use of the Service means acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.
